About

Hi! I'm Lucy–is a visual designer pursuing an MFA in Graphic Design at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Most recently, I worked at the RISD Museum to design a mobile guide to orient visitors, as well as introduce them to the Museum's audio content. I was also a Design Intern at the Democratic National Committee.

Prior to grad school, I worked at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art as a Digital Content Coordinator. I also volunteered for a variety of webzines, and I earned a BA in Art History at Purdue University.

I'm Like a PDF but a Girl

I'm like a PDF but a girl is the title of a dissertation by Esther Freider. In it, she talks about the ways Tumblr and the ability to reblog and use hashtags has helped form connections between like-minded users on the platform. Thus, I used hashtags throughout some of the spreads to call back to the use of the hashtag.
