In the summer of 2024, I joined the Democratic National Committee's Mobilization Team as a Design Intern. I created graphics for the Democratic National Committee and the Biden for President re-election campaign.
It was the first time I had to think about branding in terms of marketing a person rather than an institution, product, etc. I was especially grateful to have participated in a presidential election year.
In addition to my regular intern duties, I got to collaborate with the Merchandise team on creating web design mockups based on certain specifications.
I proposed and illustrated a holiday card design using the Procreate App. This section will be updated after the holidays, once the official card gets delivered.
I designed a variety of social media posts for holidays, quotes, infographics, and more. Not all of these graphics appeared on social media for a variety of reasons (e.g. change in political candidates).
I also designed a variety of graphics meant to highlight the viewpoints of the opposing party as an effort to encourage voters to vote blue.
In my free time, I took the initiative to create iwillvote.com graphics as an opportunity to experiment with design. Because these were self-initiated designs, there weren't necessarily plans to use these designs, but some designs ended up getting posted on social media anyways.
I also got to design a full email graphic!
I also designed lightbox and Instagram story graphics to promote merchandise.
